a physical Mississippi State defensive back with veteran SEC pedigree
Walter Burdett is a Mississippi State safety who brings old-school toughness and proven college experience to the secondary; his profile shows he’s not some shiny new toy, but a battle-tested defender with a physical edge and positional versatility. His value is less about gaudy stat lines and more about reliability, downhill aggression, and understanding the game at a deeper level—traits that tend to matter a lot on special teams and in coverage packages. If you want a smart, hard-nosed depth piece with a blue-collar mentality, he’s worth a look.
