Cassie Burgess brings veteran poise and clutch-bucket toughness to Southern Utah
Cassie Burgess is a senior forward for Southern Utah whose calling card is old-school toughness: she’s remembered for a clutch game-winner in Southern Utah’s triple-overtime win over Utah Valley, a telling snapshot of her composure under pressure. Her profile suggests a player who adds grit, physicality, and maturity in the frontcourt rather than flashy stat-padding. That kind of steady, competitive edge can matter as much as numbers when you need a reliable locker-room tone-setter and a forward who won’t blink in big moments.
