John Russell brings big-body trench value to Western Michigan’s defensive front
John Russell is listed by Western Michigan on the 2026 football roster at defensive tackle, and the value here is pretty straightforward: size, interior leverage, and a job that usually doesn’t show up in box-score glamour shots. Western Michigan’s roster page is the most reliable current source available here, but it does not provide recent stats, rankings, or an injury report for Russell, so any deeper performance read would need game-by-game snap data. If your team wants a rotational DT who can clog lanes and make life miserable inside, he’s the kind of blue-collar fit worth a closer look.
