Instinctive, productive NC State linebacker with proven tackling value
Fernandez was a high-volume, tone-setting linebacker for NC State, leading the team with 76 tackles in 2017 and earning ACC Linebacker of the Week honors after a standout game against No. 1 Florida State, which signals real impact against elite competition[1]. At 6-foot-0 and about 205 pounds as a recruit, he fit more as a fast, active outside linebacker than a thumper, so his value comes from range, anticipation, and consistent effort rather than prototype size[2]. If you want a defender who can diagnose quickly, rally to the ball, and elevate against top opponents, he’s the kind of fit coaches trust[1][2].
