Butler’s ballhawking DB who turned takeaways into impact
In the 2017 season, Isaak Newhouse was a defensive spark for Butler, earning Second Team All-PFL and Team Defensive MVP honors after leading the Bulldogs with 96 tackles, adding 6 interceptions, 2 passes defended, and a punt-return threat that helped him stand out beyond the stat sheet. His game was defined by instincts, physical tackling, and playmaking in big moments—he even posted an interception, fumble recovery, and 8 tackles in Butler’s 37-23 Homecoming win over Campbell. If you want a DB who brings swagger, production, and turnover juice, Newhouse fit the bill like a glove.
