Texas State Safety with Untapped High School Pedigree
Brett Donaldson, a safety on Texas State's 2012 roster, appeared in just two special teams games as a redshirt freshman after sitting out 2011, showing early promise but limited college production to date. His high school highlights from Whitesboro (TX) reveal differentiators like versatile WR/CB athleticism, earning 5 MaxPreps awards in football and basketball for Class of 2024—far too recent for the 2012 Bobcat, hinting at potential name overlap or walk-on grit. Ideal for teams needing intense, multi-sport special teams spark, but lacks proven D1 stats; watch for breakout if he builds on that raw speed and tackling tenacity.
