Butler’s steady floor-general and defensive pest
Nancy Bowden’s best case is a classic glue-guard profile: in the 2003-04 season, she was Butler’s catalyst, averaging 10.6 points per game while ranking among the Horizon League leaders in assists (6.35 per game) and steals (3.39 per game), and she finished her Butler career with 1,000+ points and 500 assists. Her differentiators were pace control, pressure defense, and the ability to make teammates better—reliable traits for a coach who wants a true lead guard, not just a scorer.
