Versatile Florida A&M edge piece with veteran size and 2026 roster traction
Joshua Newkirk is listed on Florida A&M’s football roster as a defensive end, and available roster data shows a 6'2", 230-pound frame that fits a power-based edge role. His profile suggests a player who has already navigated a position change from linebacker to defensive end, which usually signals coach trust, adaptability, and a willingness to do the dirty work. He looks like a fit for a team that values length, discipline, and rotational toughness off the edge rather than pure flash.
