Efficient Idaho State guard with balanced all-around production
Austin Smellie is a steady Idaho State guard who brings efficient, two-way value: in the 2022-23 season, he averaged 6.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 42.7% from the field. That profile suggests a player who can contribute without dominating the ball, which is useful for lineups that need reliability, spacing, and secondary playmaking. His local Idaho background and regular rotation-level numbers make him a sensible fit for teams looking for a dependable guard rather than a high-usage scorer.
