NFL-Built Ballhawk, But Not a Current Houston Cougars CB
Stanford Routt is a former Houston Cougars cornerback and a 2005 second-round NFL draft pick, not a current college player. In his college career at Houston, he logged 7 interceptions in 34 games, and his pro profile shows elite athletic traits for a corner—he scored a 9.94 Relative Athletic Score, signaling rare speed and burst. The big differentiator here is pedigree: he brought length, instincts, and top-end athleticism to the boundary, but at 41 and long retired from playing, he is not a current fit as an active roster CB.
