Veteran Virginia State linebacker who brings production and edge
Mehkhi Johnson is a senior linebacker for Virginia State who has shown he can be a steady, disruptive presence in the middle of the defense. In 2025, Virginia State listed him as a key defensive anchor with 52 tackles, and earlier game data showed he can impact plays in multiple ways, including tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He looks like the kind of tough, reliable linebacker coaches trust: active, physical, and assignment-sound. If your team wants a defender who shows up, finishes, and makes life annoying for offenses, he fits the bill.
