Derek Coleman brings veteran defensive-back grit to Delaware
Coleman is listed as a defensive back for Delaware, but the available sources don’t show current 2026 individual game stats or stat-leader rankings for him specifically. The clearest edge here is profile fit: a smaller, likely coverage-oriented DB at 5-8 and 165 pounds from Marriott Ridge, he reads like a player valued for quickness, toughness, and assignment discipline rather than pure size. If a roster wants a scrappy, detailed defender who can help in the back end and on special teams, he’s the kind of low-drama, high-effort add that coaches tend to love.
