Georgia’s explosive, versatile CB prospect
Branden Smith was a blue-chip 2009 Georgia signee and one of the state’s top defensive backs, pairing cornerback speed with rare offensive and return-game juice.[9][12] In his Georgia career, he started 17 games, posted 55 tackles and 4 interceptions, and even flashed as a runner and returner, which made him more than just a cover guy.[4][7] The knock was size and durability, but the upside was obvious: quick, twitchy, and dangerous in space—exactly the kind of athlete who can tilt a game when the ball finds him.[7][10]
