Depth-Chart DB to Watch for The Citadel
Mel Capers is a The Citadel defensive back whose current public stat profile is limited, so the appeal is in projection: a rostered DB at a program that values discipline, toughness, and role-specific reliability. Available team information does not list season statistics for him, which suggests he is either early in his college career or playing a lower-stat-visibility role rather than stacking flashy numbers. If you want a defensive back who fits a system-first, physical, assignment-sound environment, Capers is the kind of player worth tracking for development and special-teams value.
