Trusted Notre Dame slot veteran whose game was built on feel, toughness, and leadership
In the 2021 season, Avery Davis was a reliable Notre Dame slot receiver, finishing with 27 catches for 386 yards and 4 touchdowns, and he added value as a former quarterback who understands spacing, scramble drills, and soft spots in coverage[2][5][12]. The big caveat is durability: he missed the entire 2022 season after a torn ACL, and earlier knee issues also interrupted his momentum[3][11]. If you want a savvy, dependable chain-mover with captain-level leadership and a high football IQ rather than pure explosiveness, he’s your kind of player[5][12].
