Big-bodied back with proven burst and production, but recent usage has been limited
Wes Hills is a 6'2", 218-pound power runner whose calling card has been straight-line physicality and enough burst to punish arm tackles, and his profile still reflects the rare size/speed combo that made him an All-American at Slippery Rock. In recent pro action, however, his workload has been light—he logged 20 carries for 75 yards in 2025 with Memphis after a 2024 season in Michigan that produced 72 carries for 291 yards and 3.9 yards per carry—so the upside is real, but the current form is more depth-chart/role-player than featured back. He's a fit if you want size, toughness, and special-teams/value depth rather than a high-volume bell cow.[1][3]
