Kaleb Smith gives Texas a steady, low-drama snapping specialist
Kaleb Smith is the kind of special-teams piece coaches love: a big, experienced long snapper/DS for Texas who has already handled field goals and extra points for the Longhorns and brings a reputation for reliability, academics, and composure under the radar. In the 2026 Texas roster cycle, he remains a depth-chart stabilizer rather than a headline-maker, which is exactly the point for this role. If you want a dependable specialist with proven college experience and mature game-day habits, Smith is a fit.
