Steady SIU guard and proven 3-point threat
Smithpeters profiles as a reliable, high-IQ Southern Illinois guard who made his name as a bench spark and perimeter shooter, averaging 7.7 points off the bench in his peak noted season and ranking among SIU’s all-time 3-point leaders; his broader career line also shows steady all-around contribution at 6.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game with a 38.5% field-goal mark.[2][4][1][6] What makes him interesting beyond the box score is his role versatility and shot-making gravity—he can stretch defenses, keep possessions organized, and has shown the kind of dependable, competitive production coaches value in a rotation guard.[2][3][6]
