Will Conner brings hometown toughness and linebacker pedigree to UAB
Will Conner entered UAB as a 3-star inside linebacker with a strong high-school résumé — 135 tackles, 14 sacks, and a reputation as a physical, instinctive defender who stayed home to play for the Blazers[9][12]. In his early UAB career, he showed special-teams and depth value, appearing in eight games in the 2021 season and recording two tackles plus a fumble recovery[3]. He looks like the kind of linebacker who wins with effort, toughness, and football feel more than flash — a solid fit if your defense wants a downhill, local-kid grinder with room to keep developing[3][9].
