Matt Tharp brings proven ball-hawking safety value to UNI
Matt Tharp is a former UNI playmaker whose calling card was timely, game-sealing defense, including an interception that clinched an overtime win in the 2005 national semifinal and a fumble recovery in the title game run[2][3]. That profile points to a safety who fit well in high-leverage moments: instinctive, opportunistic, and trusted when the game tightens. If you value a defender who can flip momentum with takeaway potential and composure under pressure, Tharp is the kind of name that stands out.
