High-upside Arkansas arm with a big frame, premium rankings, and a rehab-heavy path
Wren is a 6-4 right-hander from Melbourne, Arkansas, who drew strong recruiting buzz as a 2025 prospect, including top-300 national placement and top-100 right-handed-pitcher rankings from major scouting outlets in the 2025 class[7][8]. He’s a classic upside play: long levers, a projectable body, and enough arm talent to stay on the radar, but his path has been slowed by Tommy John rehab, and he redshirted in his first year with Arkansas[3][9]. If you value ceiling and patience, he’s intriguing; if you need immediate innings, the timeline matters more than the hype[3][9].
