VCU’s Derrick Reid: steady interior presence with efficient finishing
In the 2004-05 season, Derrick Reid gave VCU a reliable post option, averaging 3.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 17.0 minutes per game while shooting 50.0% from the field. He was a physical, low-maintenance big who handled dirty-work minutes, protected the paint with 5 blocks that season, and brought veteran steadiness rather than flash. If your team needs a strong, experienced interior body who can defend, rebound, and finish efficiently without demanding touches, Reid fits the mold.
