Veteran Houston DB Chevy Bennett brings experience and steady toughness
Chevy Bennett is a senior defensive back for Houston, listed at 6-0/6-1 and about 201 pounds, which gives him the frame to play physical football on the back end[1][3]. The big differentiator: veteran presence — he has been in the program long enough to bring maturity, toughness, and reliability, with a background that includes junior college championship experience at Navarro and a history of tackling production[3][6]. He looks like the kind of no-drama, high-IQ depth piece coaches trust when they want composure, contact, and locker-room steadiness.
