Trey Wertz brings veteran shot-making and steady playmaking to Notre Dame
Trey Wertz is a 6-5 guard whose value has been built on balance: in the 2022-23 season at Notre Dame, he averaged 8.4 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 30.7 minutes per game while starting 22 of 32 games[10]. Across his Notre Dame career, he showed reliable deep-range touch and above-average floor general skills, with 104 made threes over three seasons and 210 total assists for the Irish[2]. The fit is straightforward: if you want a composed, experienced guard who can space the floor, handle the ball, and keep an offense organized, he’s your guy—quietly useful, not flashy, which is basketball code for “coach-friendly.”[2][10]
