UCF’s original workhorse back still sets the standard
In his UCF career, Alex Haynes was a true bell-cow runner, finishing with 3,356 rushing yards, 27 rushing touchdowns, and 4,021 all-purpose yards, while also producing 15 100-yard games and even a four-TD outing in 2001[2][3]. The big differentiator is his toughness: he carried a heavy workload across four seasons and kept producing even in a run-heavy-by-necessity era, which is why UCF honored him in its 2025 Hall of Fame class[2][8].
