seasoned SMU lineman with real college heft and game experience
Jordan Free’s value at SMU is built on experience, size, and trench versatility: he’s listed by SMU at 6-2, 311 pounds and appeared in 11 games in the 2011 season after redshirting in 2009, giving him a veteran feel in the offensive line room[2][7]. He was a first-team 3A All-State pick in high school and has been recognized in SMU’s program history as an all-conference-caliber line contributor, which suggests dependable technique and coach trust more than flash[2][11].
