steady, academic-minded depth in the Tommies’ DB room
Rian O’Connor profiles as a reliable, team-first defensive back for St. Thomas (MN), with the kind of polished, low-drama presence coaches love: he was twice named academic all-conference and was a high-school state champion and team captain, suggesting toughness, discipline, and buy-in. He’s listed at 5-8, 173, so his value is more about instincts, consistency, and effort than pure size. For a program looking for a dependable DB who fits a culture of accountability, he looks like a smart add.
