FAU freshman safety Richard Thompson brings multi-sport athleticism and all-conference upside
Richard Thompson is a 5-foot-11 freshman safety for Florida Atlantic with a nice little résumé of raw athletic pop: all-conference and all-area honors at Olympic Heights, plus track-and-field chops as a state triple jumper. In his high school profile, FAU highlighted him as a two-sport athlete who also played in the Florida vs. Georgia All-Star game and Palm Beach County All-Star game, which points to competitive juice and versatility. He looks like a developmental defensive back with speed, ball skills, and a strong work-ethic vibe—an appealing fit for a team betting on upside and special-teams value.
