WIU’s veteran power bat with pop and punch
Tyler Large enters the 2026 season as one of Western Illinois’ primary power threats, with the team noting that his six home runs led returning players. In the 2026 season, he’s hit .176 with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs, but his value goes beyond the box score: he’s a physical 6'1" senior who brings strength, athleticism, and legitimate run-producing upside to the outfield. If a team wants a bat that can change a game with one swing, Large is worth a look—he’s the kind of player opponents have to respect, even when the average isn’t sparkling.
