Veteran Roadrunner guard who paved the way for UTSA’s run game
Stefan Beard has been a steady, physical presence at guard for UTSA, with the clearest proof coming in the 2017 season when he started all 11 games and helped power an offense that averaged 387.4 total yards and 184.5 rushing yards per game. The appeal is his trench-warrior profile: dependable, assignment-sound, and durable enough to anchor the line after missing early games in a prior season because of injury. He’s the kind of blue-collar interior blocker coaches love—more functional enforcer than headline hunter—and a strong fit for teams wanting toughness and run-game consistency.
