Explosive, Low-Mileage Playmaker with NFL-Level Burst
Blake Watson is a compact, quick-cut running back whose best selling points are burst, balance, and tackle-breaking pop; he was a 2023 First-Team All-AAC back at Memphis after producing a top-end season and then earned an NFL shot as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He stands out more as a sudden, efficient creator than a bruiser, which makes him appealing for outside-zone, screen, and change-of-pace roles rather than pure bell-cow duty. If you want an RB who can create yards on his own and threaten defenses with acceleration, he’s worth a close look.
