proven shot-maker and floor leader with elite prep pedigree
Rode arrived at Cal as a highly decorated guard: a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in New Mexico, known for deep shooting range, strong passing, and the ability to create her own shot while keeping teammates involved.[3] Her high-school résumé also points to real winning impact—she averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals as a senior and held school records for scoring, threes, free throws, assists, and steals.[3] The biggest fit question is durability, since knee surgery interrupted her senior season, but the reports say her work rate helped her recover quickly.[3]
