Marquiz Baker brings veteran SWAC toughness and scoring punch for Alcorn State
Marquiz Baker is a 6-foot-2 senior guard whose profile is built on proven production, not hype: his career line at Alcorn State shows 15.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, with his most notable stretch coming in the 2012-13 season when he earned SWAC Player of the Week after averaging 23.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals over two games. He stands out as a physical, experienced guard who can score in bunches and create havoc defensively, though his efficiency has been modest, so he fits best if a team wants toughness, shot-making, and edge more than pure polish.
