Michael Hughes brings proven leg strength and clutch reliability to SDSU
Michael Hughes is a seasoned kicker with a strong track record, highlighted by an 87.5% field-goal mark in the 2024 season and a perfect 54-for-54 on extra points that year at Appalachian State[1]. He also showed big-leg value on kickoffs, averaging 60.7 yards per kickoff over his college run, which made him a real field-position weapon[9][14]. If San Diego State wants a steady specialist with range, volume experience, and a history of high-end consistency, Hughes fits the bill nicely[9][14].
