Fresno State’s steady special-teams anchor
Jacob Westberry is the kind of low-drama, high-value long snapper every staff loves: Fresno State has repeatedly used him as its primary LS across multiple seasons, and he earned Patrick Mannelly Award watch-list recognition in 2021. In the 2021 season, he played all 13 games and even chipped in two tackles, which hints at real field awareness beyond the snap itself. At 6-3 and 268 pounds, he brings pro-style size, dependable consistency, and the sort of special-teams stability that quietly wins field position battles.
