long, developmental DL with Aggie upside
De'Shawn Johnson is a 6-foot-4 defensive lineman for New Mexico State whose profile points to length and projection more than proven production; the available roster and stat pages do not show meaningful college game statistics yet. In the 2026 context, his appeal is the classic “toolbox” pitch: size, frame, and developmental upside for a staff looking to mold a disruptive front-line piece. If you need instant box-score impact, he’s not that guy yet; if you want a raw, high-upside lineman who could grow into a fit with coaching and strength gains, he’s worth a hard look.
