veteran Samford guard who brings poise, playmaking, and clutch shot-making
In the 2004-05 season, LaBrena Friend was a steady senior guard for Samford, starting the early part of the year and helping the Bulldogs to a 3-0 start[2]. Her game stands out for composure under pressure, timely free throws, and multi-level impact—she hit key late free throws in a 70-65 win and has long shown she can score, create, and handle the ball[5][11]. She’s the kind of guard who adds toughness, experience, and late-game reliability more than flash, which makes her a strong fit for teams that value control and crunch-time execution[4][8].
