Dontrell Johnson brings elite return-game juice and proven playmaking to Murray State’s secondary
Dontrell Johnson stands out as a high-impact DB for Murray State because his best trait is game-changing speed and field vision, highlighted by a 2023 season in which he started all 11 games and led the FCS with 22.8 yards per punt return while earning All-American recognition as a returner. That kind of production signals a player who can flip field position, create hidden value on special teams, and fit a team that wants an aggressive, explosive defensive back with proven big-play instincts.
