compact, proven NIU runner with burst and versatility
Me'co Brown has been a productive Northern Illinois back, with career totals of 258 carries for 1,155 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns, showing he can handle volume and stay efficient in the 2026 season context. He’s listed at 5-7, 180, and his differentiator has long been his compact frame, quickness, and all-purpose value rather than pure bruiser size. NIU’s own bio highlights his 2008 freshman impact and explosive return ability, while his high-school résumé shows a playmaker who also contributed heavily as a receiver. If you want a back who brings urgency, balance, and versatility, Brown fits the “steady spark plug” mold pretty nicely.
