A Baylor Safety's Legacy
Chance Waz, a 6-0, 165-pound safety from Pflugerville, TX, is no longer available for recruitment. Waz played for Baylor from 2014-2017, appearing in 43 games and recording 146 tackles, 6 pass breakups, and 2 tackles for loss. He was a starting safety who earned first-team all-district and all-Central Texas honors as a junior in high school. Sadly, Waz passed away in December 2020 at age 25. His college career demonstrated solid defensive instincts and reliability in the secondary.
