JJ Harper brings two-way size and production to Liberty’s backcourt
Harper is a 6-foot-5 guard whose 2024-25 Division II production at West Liberty—15.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.7 steals per game—shows a rare stat-stuffing, disruptive two-way profile that should translate into immediate rotation value at Liberty.[4] His differentiators are length, defensive playmaking and versatility as a scorer/connector, and the main question is how that all holds up against tougher Division I competition, but the early read is that he fits as an energy-raising, multi-positional guard who can impact winning without needing the ball.[4]
