Derek Russell is a Yale QB name from another era, not the 2026 Bulldogs passer
The available records show Derek Russell as a former Yale football player from the 2009-2013 era, not a current 2026 Yale Bulldogs quarterback; in his Yale career, he was a true utility player who logged snaps at QB, WR, DB, and on special teams, with a memorable 2012 cameo at quarterback when Yale beat Penn after he completed 13 of 20 passes and added 61 rushing yards plus a TD. That versatility, poise, and willingness to do the dirty work are the real differentiators here—but for a current team fit, this is a historical profile rather than an active 2026 QB evaluation.
