David Onanina gives Bethune-Cookman a physical, efficient frontcourt presence
Onanina is a reserve center who brings efficient interior finishing, rebounding, and rim protection for Bethune-Cookman; in the 2024-25 season he averaged 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks in 12.2 minutes while shooting 55.1% from the field, and in 2025-26 his role has been smaller but his block and rebound rates remain useful indicators of activity around the rim.[2][6] His best case for a roster is as a low-usage big who can defend the paint, clean up misses, and stay productive without needing touches, though his limited offensive creation and modest size for a center cap the upside.[5][9]
