Durable Mount starter with strike-throwing upside and swing-and-miss flashes
In the 2026 season, Jakob Foster has given Mount St. Mary’s a steady right-handed arm, working both as a starter and out of the bullpen, including a four-inning, one-run outing against Quinnipiac and a three-inning relief win with five strikeouts against Canisius. He showed real run-prevention ability as a freshman too, with a six-inning, one-hit, six-strikeout gem in 2024, and his profile suggests a long, projectable frame with room to keep adding strength. He looks like a fit for teams that value competitive, versatile pitchers who can attack the zone and hold up in different roles.
