Tara Williams brought real two-way pop to American’s backcourt
In the 2005-06 season, Tara Williams emerged as a steady, opportunistic guard for American, highlighted by a career-best six steals in one game and multiple double-digit scoring outings, including 20 points against Wagner and 10 against Lehigh.[4][9][13] She stood out for her controlled decision-making, defensive activity, and ability to step into a larger leadership role when called on, which makes her profile fit a team that wants toughness, ball pressure, and a guard who can stabilize the offense without forcing the issue.[5][7]
