compact Gamecock playmaker who turned speed into splash plays
Ace Sanders was a difference-maker for South Carolina in the 2012 season, leading the team with 45 receptions for 531 yards and 9 receiving touchdowns while also setting the school’s single-season punt return record with 429 yards and earning Co-SEC Special Teams Player of the Year honors. He wasn’t just productive—he was a field-flipping weapon, averaging 15.3 yards per punt return and scoring on explosive returns, which makes him valuable if you want sudden-change juice. The knock is size and durability context: at 5-8, he won with quickness, toughness, and intensity rather than length or power.
