Explosive College RB with NFL Tools, Now Free Agent After Rams Stint
Zach Evans electrified college football at Ole Miss and TCU, posting 1,999 career rushing yards at an elite 6.9 YPC with 18 TDs on low volume, showcasing burst (9/10 rating), long speed, power through contact, and a nasty stiff arm that made him a 5-star high school recruit[1][3][4][8]. His differentiator is raw athleticism and efficiency, but injuries, fumbles, and football IQ gaps limited his 2023 Rams rookie output (10 games, minimal stats) before practice squad release[4][6]. Care because he's a high-upside developmental lead-back project at 24; ideal fit for teams needing a dynamic, physical backup RB with starter potential if he polishes vision and ball security[4].
