NIU’s steady floor general with a clutch scoring touch
Monique Davis built her NIU reputation as a guard who can control tempo, create off the bounce, and deliver in big moments; in the 2003 season, she scored 20 points with 4 assists and 2 steals in a win over Wisconsin, and NIU coach Carol Hammerle praised her as an “unbelievable” floor general who could either finish or kick to teammates. Her biggest appeal is poise under pressure and playmaking feel—exactly the kind of guard who helps a team stay organized when the game gets noisy.
