Chris Benton brings a blue-collar, tackle-first edge to Morehead State’s defense
Chris Benton’s profile points to a physical, instinctive linebacker with a high-motor reputation and proven production from his high-school days, where he piled up 158 tackles, 7.5 sacks, two interceptions, and three fumble recoveries in his senior year. His upside for Morehead State is the kind coaches love: run support, urgency, and a knack for finding the ball rather than chasing highlight-reel flash. The key question is current form at the college level, but the early read is simple—if you want a tone-setter who plays like every snap matters, Benton fits the bill.
