Hawaii’s Interior Anchor with Elite Rebounding and Rim Protection
Vander Joaquim is a high-impact center whose Hawaii legacy was built on size, board work, and shot blocking—he finished among the school’s all-time leaders in rebounds and blocks, with 828 rebounds and 129 blocks in his Hawaii career[4]. At 6'10", he profiles as a classic paint presence who can change possessions without needing touches, which makes him valuable to teams that want a physical rim defender and dependable interior rebounder[1][4]. The main caveat is that the available public data reflects his Hawaii college career and later pro experience, not current 2025-26 form at Hawaii[1][3][5].
